Position Summary:
An established aerospace supplier is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives across a defined geographic territory. This role is responsible for cultivating client relationships, growing revenue, and executing strategic business plans within the aerospace and defense sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a regional sales strategy to drive growth.
Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and execute strategic business plans.
Prepare and present business cases for new opportunities.
Support development and execution of marketing initiatives.
Lead sales forecasting and contribute to market potential assessments.
Generate periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline activity, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience within the aerospace industry.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
Experience supporting both commercial and defense aerospace customers.
Basic understanding of aircraft systems and aerospace manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree required; Mechanical Engineering or advanced degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
