This position is responsible for processing cost and schedule data on the program, ensuring accurate analysis and reporting of performance against the baseline. The EVM Coordinator will contribute to the development, configuration, and maintenance of the Earned Value Management (EVM) system, including:

  • Data mapping between the EVM cost engine and the schedule
  • Financial imports, rate tables, and variance reporting thresholds
  • Configuration of program/contract data to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Custom reporting fields and data exports for Government reporting

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Program Management and Finance to provide coordinated program support and performance analysis.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
  • Conduct cost, schedule, and risk analysis, including PMB, variance, trend, and EVM metrics.
  • Import schedule data (baseline, actual, forecast dates), resources (budgeted and forecasted hours, direct non-labor costs), and status updates from the IMS.
  • Apply direct and indirect rates to resources and validate cost calculations.
  • Process approved baseline changes and maintain data integrity.
  • Perform data quality checks, resolving errors and anomalies.
  • Validate Estimates at Complete (EAC) and other critical performance data.
  • Produce contract performance reports, including briefings, management plans, and technical reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyze significant cost and schedule variances.
  • Support Control Account Managers (CAMs) and Program Managers in understanding performance issues.
  • Ensure actual costs align with authorized and scheduled work.
  • Validate that material costs and performance data are recorded in the correct reporting period.
  • Prevent retroactive changes, except for error corrections per company policy.
  • Maintain the monthly business calendar, ensuring timely production of performance data.
  • Support annual EVMS audits by the Government.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/economics, finance, accounting, engineering, or a related field, with at least three (3) years of EVM project support experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, 10 years of relevant EVM analysis experience is required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible for a DoD SECRET security clearance.
  • Experience with EVMS software, preferably for project EVM software.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents.
  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Experience in shipbuilding or marine construction projects is preferred.

This role is critical to ensuring accurate program cost, schedule, and performance tracking and maintaining compliance with Government reporting standards.
